The latest verson of the 911 GT3 debuts in Geneva.

Porsche will reveal the 2010 version of 911 GT3 at the Geneva International Auto Show next week. What’s called a “lightweight,” 435-horsepower next generation 911 GT3 has a larger 3.8-liter, six-cylinder engine with an enhanced VarioCam system, larger yet lighter brakes, and new one-piece center lock wheels, all of which are said to boost performance over the previous model. Asking price is expected to be more than $112,200 of the current version.

The current U.S. version of the 911 GT3 is propelled by the most powerful normally-aspirated engine ever offered in a Porsche 911 in the North American market, a 3.6-liter powerplant that returns 415 horsepower, or a world class 115.3 horsepower per liter. This accelerates the GT3 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds). Top speed is said to be 194 mph. The GT3’s extensive performance package includes the appropriately large brakes as well as active and adjustable suspension that can be tuned to the demands of specific racetracks.
