Blind Turkish artist Esref Armagan's impression of the 2011 Volvo S60 sedan is up for auction on eBay, the proceeds going to charity.

We won’t get a chance to see the next-generation Volvo S60 until next year’s Geneva Motor Show, but Turkish artist Esref Armagan is offering his impressions in a new painting that’s up for auction on eBay.

It might be tempting to say Armagan got a sneak peek if it weren’t for the fact that this well-known painter is blind, an only got a look at the 2011 Volvo S60 sedan in his mind’s eye, after using his sensitive fingers to get a feel for the car’s shape.

Armagan then used his fingers, dipped in paint, to put the image on canvas.  A documentary on the artist, and on the making of the Volvo S60 painting, is now on the Internet, you can view it by Clicking Here.  You can also Click Here to place a bid for the painting, at the eBay site.

Volvo will provide 100% of the proceeds to World Blind Union, a non-political, non-religious, non-governmental and non-profit-making organization, representing over 160 million blind and partially sighted persons in 177 member countries.
