Revenge President and CEO Peter Collorafi.

A tiny Indiana based company says it can build thousands of sports cars based on a concept from Roush Performance. The Revenge Verde was revealed at the NAIAS with a claimed price of $190,000.

Zero-to-60 mph performance of 3.5 seconds is claimed, with a top speed greater than 200 mph.

Underneath the carbon fiber body is an aluminum space-frame and a choice of three powertrains.

Revenge President and CEO Peter Collorafi explained that Ford’s 605 horsepower V8 RSC, GM’s 638 horsepower ZR1 V8 or if you want a newly developed 400 horsepower version of the Hp2g V8 engine.

“I feel it’s time to look ahead, stop the reliance on imported goods, and generate jobs in Michigan."

Hp2g is a variable displacement design that electrically deactivates cylinders when the power is not needed, which comes form a little known inventor in Ohio.

“I feel it’s time to look ahead, stop the reliance on imported goods, and generate jobs in Michigan,” said Collorafi, who has worked with GM and Ford in the U.S. and Australia. Collorafi claimed the first car could be delivered later this year.

All Revenge models will have 20-inch wheels with Michelin tires, 255/35ZR in front and 305/35ZR in the rear. Four-piston Brembo brakes are used along with carbon fiber rotors with aluminum center hubs. The suspension is height adjustable. Either a six-speed manual transmission or an electron “paddle shifter” version is offered.

As any enthusiast knows, boutique supercars have a tenuous chance of survival. Every once in a while one actually makes it into production. We’ll see if enough “greenbacks” come forth to make Verde reality.
