There’ll be plenty of products rolling out over the next few days at the New York Auto Show – on top of the scores of introductions in Shanghai, earlier this week.
So, maybe it makes sense that Infiniti is only offering up a tease to whet our appetite for its new crossover, which it says won’t have its formal debut until late August.
Dubbed Infiniti JX, it’s a three-row luxury CUV that “will allow us to continue to expand the Infiniti brand’s presence in the Americas,” suggests Carlos Tavares, chairman, Nissan Americas.
The sketch shown here hints of a “crescent cut” greenhouse, with Infiniti suggesting the overall styling theme was “inspired by nature.”
The Infiniti JX will get its formal unveiling at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a classic car show that has been serving as a backdrop for a number of new model reveals in recent years.
Production is set to begin in 2012, with the Infiniti JX appearing as a 2013 model.
The 7-passenger model is expected to offer several different inline-four and V6 powertrain options.
