The 2015 Porsche Boxster GTS gets a 3.4-liter six cylinder putting out 330 horsepower this year.
Most makers are getting ready for their new introductions in New York, but Porsche plans to debut the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS at the Beijing Auto Show later this week.
The newest members of the GTS family are earning their stripes with more powerful engines and upgrades to the vehicles’ standard equipment.
The Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS boast mid-mounted 3.4-liter six-cylinder boxer engine delivers that both additional 15 horsepower compared with their “S” model counterparts. The Boxster GTS comes in at 330 hp with 273 lb.-ft. of torque while the Cayman GTS has 340 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque.
The 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS gets an additional 15 horsepower pushing zero-to-60 down to 4.3 seconds.
The extra horses translate to a zero-to-60 time of 4.4 seconds in the automatic version and 4.7 seconds in a manual for the Boxster GTS. It tops out at 174 mph. The Cayman GTS turns zero-to-60 in 4.3 seconds or 4.6 with a manual with a top speed of 177 mph.
The Boxster GTS starts at $73,500 and the Cayman GTS is priced from $75,200, excluding destination charges of $995. Both hit dealers this summer.

China is a growing market for Porsche so aside from the new GTS models, it plans to show the 919 Hybrid and the 911 RSR racecars, and the 918 Spyder at the show.

In fact, China is the second largest single market for Porsche after the U.S. In 2013, Porsche boosted sales in China by 19.9% to a total of 37,425 vehicles. That’s continued in 2014 with sales rising by double-digit totals through March.
