Nissan's flagship sedan, the 2014 Maxima, was rated the best deal of October by KBB.com.

While September often is viewed as the best month to buy or lease a new car, October is boasting some pretty good deals as well, according to KBB.com.

The website lists the best deals for leasing, financing and getting cash back each month and right now it has rated the $4,500 cash back for the 2014 Nissan Maxima S as the best offer available. The Maxima has a sticker price of just over $32,000.

“For October’s list of KBB.com’s 10 Best Deals of the Month, we’ve embraced this moment in time,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.

“But don’t drive off in one of these cars without first checking out the new and improved version replacing it, just to be sure you are happy with your end-result purchase.”

For the first full month of Fall, it would seem the best deals involve getting cash back as of the top 10 offers out there, six of them are for rebates. Three others are for financing offers and just one lease deal made the list: getting the 2014 Cadillac CTS Coupe for $299 a month for 36 months and $3,029 due at signing.

The best financing deal is on the 2014 Toyota Camry LE. Qualified buyers can get a zero-percent interest rate plus $1,000 cash back. Buyers can also get a zero-percent interest rate on the 2014 Volkswagen Golf, but there is no cash back on the sedan.

Two cash-back offers that jump out are the $6,000 Ford offers for 2014 Ford Expedition buyers as well as $4,250 Chrysler is slapping on the hood of the 2014 Chrysler 300. Chrysler’s sporty brand, Dodge, is also handing out $3,500 on the 2014 Challenger SXT.
