The new Jeep Renegade Trailhawk hit the Paris Motor Show floor in Detonator yellow.

Perhaps more than most, the Paris Motor Show is a repository of fast, stylish cars that Europeans love … until the Jeeps show up, and this year is no different with the off-road brand rolling out four new models.

The Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor made its European debut. The limited edition model is an aggressive looking and behaving machine. It is the fastest Jeep ever produced and uses Active Noise Cancellation technology to make sure the sound of the 468 horsepower of the powerful 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine is carried into the cabin.

The aggressive sound is “amplified” by the Red Vapor’s surly exterior styling featuring 20-inch black-chrome Goliath wheels and plenty of glossy badging, chrome as well as “Radar red” accents.

Jeep also brought the Wrangler Unlimited “X” to conquer Paris. The “X” comes with a 284-horsepower 3.6-liter gas engine or a 200-hp 2.8-liter turbodiesel mated to a five-speed automatic and, of course, four-wheel drive.

Jeep showed Paris Motor Show attendees how the Wrangler X goes from off road to paved road.

The idea behind the firecracker red Wrangler is that the traits that make it great off-road can be transferred to the urban arena.

“The legendary off-road capabilities of the Wrangler range are hidden beneath a distinctive ‘outfit’ comprising the body-colour modular hard top and exclusive style details like the glossy black inserts on the body-coloured grille, raised dual-intake engine bonnet and 18-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels,” according to the maker.

In addition to the new models, Jeep rolled out two iterations of the recently introduced Jeep Renegade: the Opening Edition and Trailhawk.

The Opening Edition comes in Alpine White and is powered by a 1.6-liter Multijet II turbodiesel producing 120 hp. It also has the Uconnect navigation system and 6.5-inch screen with 3D maps, dual-zone automatic climate control, Passive entry with Keyless-Go, rear parking sensors, cruise control and 18-inch wheels with dedicated design.

The Trailhawk, which at the show is clad in Detonator yellow on the outside and a black leather interior, features Jeep’s Active Drive Low full-time 4×4 system. It gets a 2.0-liter turbodiesel putting out 170 hp.

In Europe, the Renegade comes in four trim levels – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk – and its price list starts from below Euro 20,000 for the 110 HP Sport 1.6 E-Torq version. Overall, it will be sold in 100 countries, the maker said.
