Chevy is rumbling into SEMA with two concepts, including the Camaro SS Black Accent, that ooze power and speed.

General Motors is loading up for the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association Show in Las Vegas with a pair of new Camaro SS concepts designed to look fast and go faster.

With official ceremonial roll-off at its Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan, this week, the sixth generation Camaro is now officially part of the Cheverolet line-up and for SEMA GM will introduce two customized 2016 Camaro SS concepts that illustrate the possibilities enabled by the new portfolio accessories and performance parts.

Dubbed Red Accent and Black Accent for their respective design themes, each uses components Chevrolet will offer during the first model year of the new Camaro.

“These are great-looking examples of what customers can do to personalize their new Gen Six Camaro,” said Roger McCormack, director, Accessories & Performance Parts Marketing. “This will be the largest-ever portfolio of Camaro accessories and performance parts. The possibilities are limited only by imagination.”

The second of two Camaro SS concepts, the convertible Red Accent, is laden with go-fast upgrades.

The new portfolio of Camaro accessories and performance parts includes features such as three aluminum wheel designs, in multiple finishes; grille kits with six body-color inserts for LT and SS models; inserts are also available in chrome-appearance or primed versions for custom painting, a blade-style rear spoiler and ground effects kit, each offered in 10 colors.

Additionally, there are four exterior graphics packages, offered in multiple colors, including “rally stripe,” front-fender “hash mark,” racing stripe designs and a body-side “spear” graphic, plus interior trim kits, including knee pads and door accent trim, offered in multiple colors, performance exhaust kits for SS and V-6-equipped LT models and suspension lowering kits for SS and LT models as well as Brembo performance front brake packages for SS and LT models

“All of the exterior accessories enhance the Camaro’s already strong design, as they were developed in the Chevrolet Performance Studio alongside the production model itself,” said Adam Barry, senior creative designer, Chevrolet Camaro.
