The new 2018 Nissan 370Z Coupe Heritage Edition hits the show floor at this year's New York Auto Show.
Nissan is getting back to its sports car heritage with the release of two new models in New York: the limited production GT-R Track Edition and the new 370Z Heritage.
The new GT-R Track edition follows the earlier releases of the GT-R Premium and GT-R Nismo, actually it melds the best of both of those models. Nissan claims it “occupies a unique position” resting between the touring and racing sides of the GT-R line-up.
It puts out the Premium’s 565 horsepower — compared with the Nismo’s 600 hp — but sways back toward the “racing” side with additional adhesive bonding (in addition to spot welding), which helps increase body shell rigidity versus the GT-R Premium model.
Additionally, the advanced 4-wheel independent suspension receives unique Nismo tuning, with reduced weight and additional roll stiffness versus the GT-R Premium, as well as Nismo-spec tires.
Other GT-R Nismo-style equipment includes Nismo front fenders, 20-inch Nismo forged aluminum-alloy wheels and a special dry carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Inside, the Track Edition interior includes a unique red and black color treatment with high-grip, motorsports-inspired Recaro seats.
“The new GT-R Track Edition gives buyers a specialized model, one true to GT-R heritage and available only by special order,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “Building on the major upgrade to every GT-R for 2017, the Track Edition is an amazing package inside, outside and under the skin.”
The 2017 GT-R Track Edition is coming out as a limited edition to round out the GT-R line-up.

Of course, this much fun will only be available on a limited basis, and it will cost big dollars. The new GT-R Track Edition has a starting MSRP1 of $127,990 and will be available late summer 2017 by order only at GT-R certified Nissan dealers nationwide.
However, if you want your speed and performance wrapped up in a bit of nostalgia, the 2018 Nissan 370Z Couple Heritage Edition may ring your bell. The newest iteration commemorates the Z’s 50 anniversary.
The Heritage Edition is an enhanced version of the new 370Z Coupe, including new headlight and rear combination light treatment, new rear fascia paint scheme, smoke chrome door handles and new EXEDY high-performance clutch (manual transmission). The 2018 370Z Coupe hits dealerships this spring.

Available on the base 370Z Coupe, the Heritage Edition package comes in two exterior colors. The Chicane Yellow Heritage Edition features black outside mirrors, gloss black graphics and yellow interior trim. The Magnetic Black Heritage Edition includes gloss silver graphics and yellow interior trim.
“Over the past five decades there have been a number of special Z trim packages that have added a sense of customization straight off the showroom floor,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America Inc.
“The new 2018 370Z Heritage Edition honors that tradition, blending it with the modern design and performance of the 2018 370Z. We’re pleased to be debuting the new Heritage Edition in New York, one of the top Z markets from the very beginning.”

The 370Z Heritage Edition comes with a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) and a choice of 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM).
