Lexus will unveil its latest creation, the LF1 Limitless, at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month.

Lexus has always made a point of unveiling its newest most important cars and concept vehicles at the North American International Auto Show and it plans to do it again this coming January.

Lexus announced it plans to reveal a new concept that reflects “the next genre” in luxury crossover vehicles. Created by the CALTY design studio in Southern California, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless is a flagship crossover that redefines the boundaries of luxury, Lexus officials said.

The Lexus LF-1 Limitless will make its official debut in Detroit next month, but released a teaser pic of the vehicle to come.

The debut reflects the pressure that Lexus like other luxury makers, faces at a time when consumers, including the most affluent consumers, are looking for utility vehicles in trucks, which account for a growing share of all luxury sales.

During the press days for the Los Angeles Auto Show, Lexus unveiled two additions to its line-up of sport-utility vehicles.

Lexus created the luxury crossover segment 20 years ago with the RX. The segment now has dozens of entries but the RX remains one of the most popular luxury utility vehicle on the market. The 2018 RX 350L and RX 450hL models retain their stylish figures, but will now offer the choice of seating for six or seven passengers.

Families will now be able to enjoy more space with their luxury utility vehicle thanks to the new three-row Lexus RX L models.

In addition, Lexus showed off a two-row version of LX 570 in LA. The 2018 LX 570 augments the traditional three-row model with a new two-row version designed to carry more cargo for any adventure while pampering five people onboard. With a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $84,980, a new mono-spec trim level gives customers added value and the luxury of simplicity.

Lexus also offers six F Sport models and two F performance models.
