The 720S boasts a name that matches its horsepower: 720. It comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8.

The McLaren 720S was named “The Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year 2017” at the Festival Automobile International Awards in Paris.

The award was given by a jury of 17 members from a diverse range of industries, who named the 720S the Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year 2017 against fierce competition from Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage, Ferrari’s Portofino and the Porsche Panamera.

“The 720S being awarded the Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year is another great achievement and honor for everyone at McLaren Automotive,” said David Gilbert, McLaren’s managing director for Europe.

“Since its unveiling at the 2017 International Geneva Motor Show, the McLaren 720S has received numerous accolades: this award is a further boost for everyone at McLaren, and reflects the superb teamwork by our design group in creating and crafting the lines and proportions of the 720S that attracted recognition from the judges of our design ethos of form following function,” Gilbert said.

The award was given by a panel of 17 jurors from a diverse range of industries, who picked the 720S the Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year 2017 against rivals such as the Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage, Ferrari’s Portofino and the Porsche Panamera.

The starting price for the 720S is 208,600 pounds and it is available in specification, including 720S, 720S Performance and 720S Luxury.

As the second-generation McLaren Super Series, the 720S is a new interpretation of McLaren design language, which is rooted in aerodynamic principles applied to a form without any superfluous elements, he added.

The 720S also offers more capability than any other McLaren product as well as a wealth of luxury features. It is hand-assembled by the British luxury sportscar and supercar maker in Woking, UK, and has won several other prizes for innovation, technology and quality of driving experience.
