Tesla's Elon Musk said the product he's most excited about is the company's pickup truck.
Now that the Model 3 is launched, Tesla fans want to know what’s on the horizon and a truck has been an oft-mentioned possibility after the Model Y. With those thoughts come possibilities: full-sizes, midsize … compact? Nope.
Cyberpunk.
“It’s gonna be like a really futuristic-like cyberpunk, ‘Blade Runner’ pickup truck,” Musk said during the Recode Decode podcast. “It’s gonna be awesome, it’s gonna be amazing. This will be heart-stopping. It stops my heart.”
In fact, the truck may be so far from what mainstream truck buyers are used to that he isn’t entirely sure if it will be a big seller.

Musk tweeted out his new non-title title within Tesla, then found out he couldn't necessarily do it.
“It’s something I’ve been wanting to make for a long time,” he said. “If there’s only a small number of people that like that truck, I guess we’ll make a more conventional truck in the future. But it’s the thing that I am personally most fired up about.”
Musk’s revelation about the look of the look of the new truck isn’t the only time he’s mentioned it. In June, he said it would feature dual motor all-wheel drive and a dynamically adjustable suspension that would also parallel park itself.
He also mentioned the second-generation Roadster and what it needs to be, in terms of performance, to be successful.
“(It) will be the fastest sports car on every dimension. Fastest acceleration, fastest top speed, best handling. It’s important to have an electric sports car that’s faster than the fastest gasoline sports car,” he told Recode. “And it helps address that halo effect that gasoline sports cars have. So I think it’s important to do that to show that, you know, electric is the best architecture.”

Surprisingly, there is one mode of transport the frentic isn’t interested in producing: motorcycles.
Musk says the Roadster, when it comes out, will be the best sports car in the world.
“I rode motorbikes a lot when I was a kid. So I did, like, dirt biking and then rode a motorcycle on the road. And then I almost got killed when I was 17.”
He went on to note that most people involved in motorcycle accidents and the probability of death is “25 times” higher. “So, we’re not gonna make motorcycles,” he said.
Musk is still searching for a replacement chairman for the company. As part of his settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, he had to step down from that post within 45 days of the agreement and do so for a period of three years. In typical Musk fashion, he took it a step further, according to a tweet.

“Deleted my Tesla titles last week to see what would happen. I’m now the Nothing of Tesla. Seems fine so far,” he tweeted on Oct. 29, later tweeting that “Legally required officers of a corporation are president, treasurer & secretary. Guess I have to keep 1st one or it will confuse the authorities.”
