Flair is an adjective often applied to Italians and Italian culture. Whether it’s a discussion about fashion, food or architecture, Italians are known to make sure it’s memorable.
This isn’t limited to the aforementioned areas as we’re just learning. The Bologna Guglielmo Marconi International Airport is ensuring it incorporates some style into its daily operations, like guiding large jets around the airport.
Commercial airliners follow a 580-horsepower Lamborghini Huracan complete with a sign that reads “Follow Me.” The car isn’t just for show, it performs a vital service and puts in a full day, seven days a week.
In fact, it’s worked out so well, the Huracan is was just repainted with a new color scheme designed ot better catch the view of pilots. Previously, it had been a mix of yellow, black and white, but the new model primarily a charcoal color with bright yellow, white and black accents.

The responsibilities of driving an Italian supercar around an airfield might be construed as a cushy job, but it’s not one to be taken lightly. The vehicle is currently driven by the ground control marshal. The Huracan has been in service there since 2016.
