The 2020 BMW M2 CS will make its physical debut at Automobility LA next week.
BMW plans to kick off the new auto show season in Los Angeles with the world premiere of three new vehicles at Automobility LA, just prior to the L.A. Auto Show.
The 2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupe, M2 CS and 2 Series Gran Coupe will debut alongside the X3 Plug-in Hybrid Sports Activity Vehicle and the 330e Plug-in Hybrid Sedan, which will make their North American premieres.
In addition to the aforementioned offerings, the Bavarian automaker plans to show off several other recently refreshed sedans and sport-activity vehicles.

The M8 Gran Coupe Competition races from 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds.
2020 M8 Gran Coupe: BMW is expanding its performance portfolio for 2020 with a new four-door version of the M8, actually two iterations: the 2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupe and M8 Gran Coupe Competition as well as a limited edition model.
The new M8 Gran Coupe is powered a 4.4-liter S63 M TwinPower Turbo V8 producing 600 horsepower
and 553 pound-feet of torque while the M8 Competition models feature an uprated power unit producing 617 hp and 553 lb- ft.
The V8 produces a wide and flat torque curve, pushing the Gran Coupe from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and the M8 Gran Coupe Competition handles in just 3.0 seconds. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe models have an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph which can be increased to 190 mph with the optional M Driver’s Package.
2020 M2 CS Coupe: BMW’s onslaught of new products continues with the introduction of its new high-performance M2 CS Coupe. The M2 CS, the smallest of the M class products, is powered by a S55 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology.
The M2 CS is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 putting out 444 horsepower.
The result is a powerplant producing 444 horsepower and 408 pound-feet of torque, propelling the diminutive racer from stop to 60 mph in as little as 3.8 seconds. The M2 CS boasts a top speed of 174 mph, the automaker reports.

It comes with two transmission options: a 7-speed dual-clutch automaker, which is how you get that 3.8-second time or a 6-speed manual, which is a wee bit slower in the 0-to-60 sprint at 4 seconds flat. The pairing produces a wide, flat torque curve.
The new M2 CS was developed side by side with the new M2 CS Racing model, which will be offered by BMW Motorsport as a new entry model into customer racing. BMW M GmbH and BMW Motorsport worked closely together to take the learnings from the M2 street car and from the M4 GT4 customer program and apply them to the new M2 CS Racing model.
2020 2 Series Gran Coupe: The latest is the 2 Series Gran Coupe is the entry point for BMW ownership. The new iterations come at the 228i xDrive Gran Coupe and the M235i xDrive Gran Coupe. Production starts in January 2020 with the launch coming two months later in March, the company noted.
BMW’s revamp of its line-up includes the all-new 2020 BMW 2 Series models: the 228i and M235i.
The new models stick to the traditional BMW script of offering plenty of performance while ensuring the driver is swathed in plenty of comfort and luxury and enjoys the benefits of the latest technology.
The BMW 228i xDrive model is powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder version of BMW’s B modular engine family, delivering an output of 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Torque is transferred through the standard 8-speed Sport transmission.
The pairing results in a 0 to 60 mph of just 6.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph when the vehicle is equipped with all-season tires and 151 mph when equipped with performance tires, the company confirmed.
Meanwhile the new M235i boasts a tuned version of the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder modular engine delivering 301 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. This combination pushes the car from stop to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, or 4.6 seconds with the optional M Performance Package’s overboost function and hits a top speed of 155 mph when equipped with performance tires.
I swear you could show a 5-10 year old BMW and no one would know the difference.
