GM CEO Mary Barra saw her total compensation package fall slightly in 2019 to $21.6 million.

General Motors’ earnings dropped in 2019 and so did those of Chairman and CEO Mary Barra, who saw her total compensation fall 1.1% to $21.6 million.

The total value of Barra’s package was revealed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Monday, ahead of the company’s quarterly earnings results, which will be revealed Wednesday.

Overall, her compensation included a salary of $2.1 million, stock awards worth $12.14 million, options worth more than $3.5 million and a performance award worth $2.73 million, according to the proxy. Barra’s paycheck basically remained unchanged in 2019 as her salary held steady at $2.1 million; however, Barra’s performance award dropped 38.7% from the previous year.

(Strike cost GM $2.6 billion, earnings down to $6.7 billion in 2019.)

Barra’s total compensation package in 2018 was $21.87 million and $21.96 million in 2017. The company noted that her compensation pay was 203 times that of the median company employee. The company she led also saw a dip in 2019.

Ford CEO Jim Hackett’s total compensation package for 2019 was $17.4 million.

The auto giant posted a full-year profit of $6.7 billion, or $4.57 per share, on revenue of $137.2 billion for 2019. However, net income was down 17.4% from the previous year’s total of $8 billion. This was due to the six-week UAW strike. Had it not been for the strike, GM was on track to beat the results from 2018.

While she did take a slight cut, earned her counterpart at Ford. CEO Jim Hackett received total compensation of nearly $17.4 million in 2019, slightly down from nearly $17.8 million in 2018, according to SEC filings last month.

The Dearborn-based carmaker reported Hackett’s pay was 157 times more than the median compensation for all U.S.-based Ford employees. Hackett, 64, whose $17.4 million in total compensation broke down as $1.8 million in salary; $13.2 million in stock awards; $1.8 million in incentive plan compensation, and about $617,637 in other compensation.

FCA CEO Mike Manley earned $14.4 million in total compensation last year.

Unsurprisingly, Mike Manley, CEO at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which is considered Detroit’s No. 3 automaker received a compensation package that was lowest among the three. He earned more than $14.4 million in total compensation in 2019, which was 232 times that of an average employee at FCA.

His package also included benefits such as tax preparation and retirement-related charges, paid him a base salary of $1.6 million, a bonus of $1.3 million and long-term incentives of $9.6 million, according to the company.
