SVE’s new 2021 Yenko/SC Silverado puts out 800 horsepower. The company will produce 50 units of the supercharged beast.

For most of the past 12 to 18 months, the automotive world’s focus when it came to trucks was electrification, specifically examples from Rivian, Lordstown Motors, Bollinger, Tesla as well as options from Ford and GM.

These vehicles have some eye-popping performances numbers when it comes to horsepower, torque and 0 to 60 times. The focus has been so intense, it’s taken a couple well-known industry names – Specialty Vehicle Engineering and Yenko – to snap the industry out of its five-mile stare at battery-electric trucks.

Specialty Vehicle Engineering, or SVE, rolled out its all-new 2021 Yenko/SC Silverado Truck — the most powerful limited production truck. The supertruck is powered by a custom-built 800 horsepower, 378 C.I.D. supercharged LT-1-based engine, and it can be had with a simple trip to your nearest dealer — but only if you move like you’re behind the wheel of one already.

(Chevrolet joins GMC, adding its own all-electric pickup.)

The 2021 Yenko/SC Silverado gets a new set of Yenko stripes, but can be had in any factory-original color.

SVE is producing just 50 trucks. And while it’s not just your average truck, that’s how it begins its life, starting with the fact you can get it in any factory-available color. Additionally, it can be had in crew cab and double cab configurations as well as in two-wheel and four-wheel drive.

The Yenko/SC comes equipped with a heavy-duty 6-speed automatic transmission with performance upgrade, Brembo’s larger front brakes that include six-piston calipers and 16.1-inch Duralife vented rotors.

Low and lean is the look with SVE’s 2-inch front lowering springs, 5-inch rear lowering hardware, and HD rear sway bar, to properly balance the awesome power of the 800 hp supercharged engine.

There are some exterior updates as well for 2021, starting with redesigned YENKO/SC side stripes. The new truck also gets a hood insert manufactured from high-impact composite material finished in gloss body color with flat black louvers.

Production on the new Yenko/SC Silverado begins in October.

The truck also gets six-spoke lightweight forged-aluminum 22-inch wheels available in three finishes, a custom high-impact composite tailgate panel overlay with embossed Yenko/SC logo in gloss finish body color, a custom front grille bar with the Yenko/SC logo stamped in, also in gloss finish body color

Each of the 50 trucks include a numbered power badge, two numbered key fobs, a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin, and a 3-year year/36,000-mile limited warranty on engine and supercharger assembly, transmission upgrade and non-powertrain components.

The price for the new Yenko Silverado starts at $79,995, but can rise to $85,320 with extras like the new Yenko stripes, Yenko-based brake calipers and other add-ons. The company will start producing the trucks in October, according to officials, with each order taking about 30 days to fulfill.
