Subaru's new Crosstrek won its individual category helping the brand take top honors in ALG's Residual Value Awards this year.

Consumers searching for vehicles that will hold their value over time can place their faith in Subaru and Land Rover, as the brands were named the winner of ALG’s 2018 Residual Value Awards.

Subaru captured the Mainstream brand award for the third year in a row while Land Rover took the Premium brand honor for the fourth consecutive year. The companies will receive their awards at the Automobility LA.

The awards recognize vehicles in 26 segments that are forecast to retain the highest percentage of their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price after a three-year period.

This year’s recipients have shown strong value in their competitive segments, and were chosen from all 2018 model year vehicles on sale in the United States in the Premium and Mainstream segments, according ALG.

“Strong residual values are the bedrock of successful brands. A vehicle’s ability to retain its value over time is an important consideration for consumers looking to purchase or lease a vehicle,” said Jim Nguyen, president of ALG.

The Land Rover Discovery was one of four Rover models that captured its category.

“With vehicle leasing at near-record levels and headwinds for used vehicle values on the horizon, consumers can have confidence in their choice of a Residual Value Award winner for their next vehicle.”
