Bentley's third-generation Flying Spur Grand Touring sedan will make its debut in early June.

Bentley Motors is celebrating its 100thanniversary this year, and part of that celebration is what may be the automaker’s most responsive vehicle to-date: the all-new Flying Spur Grand Touring Sedan.

The third-generation Flying Spur is set to make its debut on June 11, and the newest model will be the first of the iconic British marque’s vehicles to utilizes all-wheel steering. The new system steers the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels.

The result is unprecedented performance and handling for a touring sedan in both low-speed city driving as well as high-speed maneuvers. The system automatically seeks to provide the best traction possible under the road conditions presented.

For the first time, drive is supplied only to the rear wheels in standard road conditions giving classic sports sedan handling characteristics.  If any slip is detected, the system can instantly send drive to the front wheels providing active All-Wheel Drive, fully automatically.

The new Flying Spur features all-wheel steering providing a more precise driving experience.

Bentley Dynamic Ride is designed to further improve both handling and ride comfort. The system, which is available for the first time on the Flying Spur, changes suspension stiffness on demand to combat cornering forces and minimize body roll.

The automaker’s newest introductions, the recently launched Continental GT and the soon-to-debut Flying Spur are new from the ground up. They meld innovation and technology with hand-crafted elegance on a new level for the company.

The company notes the only thing that the new model and its predecessor have in common is the name. The newest Flying Spur is designed to excite driver and passenger alike with the performance and technology focused on the driver and the opulence of the sedan coddling passengers.
