The coronavirus pandemic has thrust the automotive industry into a sales tailspin, forced the shutdown of production and put at least one in the crosshairs (again) of President Donald Trump.

The uncertainty surrounding the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the automotive industry stems not only from the rapid spread of the virus but also the response from government at the federal, state and local levels.

Paul Eisenstein, publisher of TheDetroitBureau.com, joined Detroit media personality Craig Fahle on The Craig Fahle Show on Deadline Detroit for a very frank discussion about the automakers’ real response to the COVID-19 threat, and how the President’s rhetoric is misleading people about that effort.

Also on the agenda is the cancellation of the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, and how well the companies are set up to ride out the economic uncertainty we are all living with now.  Listen to the discussion by clicking here and feel free to offer your thoughts in the comments section below.
