McLaren’s newest Long Tail entry is the 765LT. The $375K speedster.

McLaren is opening up the order book for the McLaren 765 LT “Longtail,” its limited-volume supercar, which was unveiled for the first time at the beginning of March.

The company revealed that just 765 of the supercars will be produced for sales worldwide with high standard specifications.

U.S. dealers are already reporting significant interest in the limited volume 765LT. The recommended retail price of $358,000, which includes approximately $50,000 of comparable cost options on the 720S coupe, helps to highlight the significant value proposition in the 765LT.

McLaren will produce a limited run of just 765 new 765LTs.

The limited availability has also become established as a McLaren LT core credential.

An increase of 45 horsepower and 22 foot-pounds of torque combines with a 176l pound reduction in weight translates into a significant power-to-weight uplift over the 720S.

The stats combined with track-tuned suspension and 15% quicker in-gear acceleration makes the 765LT the most advanced and most rewarding McLaren LT yet.

The 765LT also will come with standard features  including  a louvred carbon fiber front, a  full-titanium sports exhaust system, ultra-lightweight 10-spoke forged alloy wheels with finished platinum and secured with titanium wheel bolts as well as the McLaren Vehicle Lift, Alcantara LT interior trim and carbon fiber racings seats or power adjust heated memory sport seats.

The new 765LT races from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and from 0 to 124 in 7.2 seconds.

In addition, carbon fiber exterior upgrade pack and carbon fiber primary interior component pack, MSO defined carbon fiber extended shift paddles, rear-view camera and parking sensors, power adjust steering column, McLaren-branded mats on the bare carbon floor and McLaren four-speaker or Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker branded audio systems can be added at no additional cost

In addition, McLaren also is making a significant effort to make each 765LT even more unique to individual customer preferences. This includes a wide range of defined and bespoke options that are available at additional cost.

The 765LT is the fourth iteration of the longtail line-up, following the 675LT, which first introduced the ‘Longtail’ name in 2015 – and more recently the 600LT models. The 765LT embodies LT characteristics that have their roots in the legendary McLaren F1 ‘Longtail’ race cars of the late-1990s with increased driver engagement, increased performance, lighter weight and track-focused dynamics.
