Power to the people! At least if you own a Tesla Model S.

Elon Musk, the founder and chief of the Palo Alto, California-based EV maker, tweeted a copy of an ad taken out in the Palo Alto Weekly from two Model S owners who gave him a bullet-point list of changes they’d like to see made in the Model S, tweeting, “Ad taken out in Palo Alto Daily by two Model S owners is right. Many of the suggestions will be implemented soon.”

In the ad, they suggest safety-oriented options such as blind-spot monitors, cross-traffic monitors and front and rear sensors to detect low-lying objects, such as parking blocks.

They also ask for a voice-activated phone system as well as a larger touch screen spot for answering or switching between calls.

In addition, they recommended moving the cupholders forward, automating the charging cap to close automatically and redesigning the center console. And somewhat surprisingly, they asked Musk to explore advertising the car.

“People are fascinated by my Tesla, and my wife’s Tesla,” wrote the pair. “Promotion of your cars to the general public could only have a positive effect, creating many additional enthusiastic Tesla owners.”

Tesla has not suggested when and what changes will be implemented on the Model S or if they have been incorporated into the Model X, which is expected to hit showrooms early next year.

The pair, who described themselves “as very satisfied Model S owners from Southhold, New York,” thanked Musk for building a “great American car” that “introduce fun, comfort and advanced reliability into a phenomenal driving experience.”
